Lauren’s Little Big Swim

We offer Adult and child lessons from 0~4 years during the day Monday to a Friday, term time only. We have small classes offering bespoke lessons to meet the needs of everyone. Located at the lovely warm pool in Weaverham. We love to teach you and your children in a fun, friendly and child led approach. We look forward to seeing you at the pool :)

We are a swim school local to you providing fun, and informative lessons, learning through play and songs and games.
We have small classes to ensure quality lessons and lots of swim time and practice.
Our lessons hugely incorporate life savings skills from our baby to pre school lessons.
Lauren (the swim school owner) is a Tutor for the STA.
All our teachers are fully qualified and we have regular meetings to discuss ways to develop the classes to enable the best progress for all our students.

Hi I’m Kate, I teach Monday and Tuesday and will cover lessons 😊 I have always been a water baby right from the word go from as young as I can remember I was always in the water! I was a competitive swimmer when I was younger and am also a scuba diver so it’s all about the water for me, that’s why this is my perfect job! My favourite colour is blue and I don’t really have a favourite animal but I do love my cat Hurley an awful lot!! I can’t wait to meet you all and have some fun in the pool together!

Lauren teaches Monday, Tuesday & Fridays 😊 Lauren has been teaching all ages and abilities for over 12 years now and a Tutor for the STA Lauren is a busy Wife & Mum of 2 and 1 dog called Ozzie 🐾🐕‍🦺🦴 Favourite Animal: Dolphin 🐬 Favourite Colour: Purples Favourite things to do: Swim, Gym, Shopping, holidaying and reading 🙌 Fun fact: She actually thinks she is 'Ariel' 🧜‍♀️🏊‍♀️

Hi 👋 I’m Tanya, I teach Fridays and cover lessons. I have always been a 'water baby' and I enjoyed doing swimming lessons so much with my own children that when they grew old enough to no longer need me holding them in the water, I missed it! I decided to train with the STA and become a qualified baby and toddler swimming teacher. It is extremely rewarding helping little ones and their parents (or other carer) grow more confident in the water and I find singing nursery rhymes and bouncing around in the pool for hours is great fun!!! Why not come and join in and try out the fun for yourself?

Hi 👋 I’m Helen! I teach Tuesday & Wednesday 😊 I love swimming and always have 🏊‍♀️ I was a swim teacher a while ago and loved it but took a big break to have 2 water babies of my own!!! I love all animals especially giraffes 🦒 but my favourite animal has to be my big dog Jess 🐕‍🦺🐾 My favourite colour is sky blue, I love being outside 😊

Lauren’s swim school testimonial I have been taking my boys to swimming lessons since they were each 12 weeks old. They are now 6 and 4. Throughout that time they have had lessons from all of Lauren’s swim school team at various stages. Tanya as babies/ toddlers, Val and Lauren as pre-schoolers and Hannah once school age. All of Lauren’s team are sensitive, caring and patient teachers who instil confidence in the pool, which you need when you’re dunking your baby under water for the first time. Pre-school lessons testimonial. My son loves Lauren’s lessons. Lauren is always smiling and shows genuine delight when teaching each child. The lessons are clearly well planned to build on skills learned week by week and most importantly, the lessons are always fun. Crash course testimonial. My son has been on Lauren’s crash course twice now, firstly with Lauren and then with Hannah. By having small groups and someone hands on in the pool to watch closely and correct technique, it has really helped him to improve his swimming ability and confidence. He really enjoyed the sessions, especially the water safety session on the last day where they get to swim in their PJ’s.

Albie has been having swimming lesson with Lauren for a year and he loves it so much, every lesson is different and filled with lots of fun, albie has gained even more confidence in the pool and looks forward to his lesson, I highly recommend Lauren’s Little Big Swim, Lauren is so Patient and kind with the kids. We look forward to lessons starting back up.

I was late taking my son to swimming lessons and he only started when he was 3 ½ years old. He was very nervous around the water and I just hadn’t pushed him. I saw an advert for an intensive swimming course I thought we might give it a try. My own experience of swimming teachers were quite grumpy short tempered people which probably had added to my reluctance at starting off on the road of swimming lessons. From the moment I met Lauren and the team I was put at ease. My scared little boy had learnt to safely enter and get out of the pool in the blink of an eye in the first few minutes of the first session. His confidence came on leaps and bounds in that first week. Lauren has a very special place in our hearts as she is incredibly kind and compassionate. Her passion for swimming shines through and you can see she adores the children in her care. Her style is so far removed from my own memories of my swimming teacher. She is calm, and fun, wanting the children to learn at their own pace. She takes the “big deal’ out of swimming and the kids are relaxed and excited. During lockdown I was worried that my little boy would loose all his confidence but one day out of the blue he started talking about swimming, he proudly told me the “my teacher is Lauren, I love Lauren”. He went back this week and he has not lost his joy of the water. It feels as though Lauren and the team are an extension of our family and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
